ESSENTIAL Kartoffelstampfer

The handle stays perfectly cool even after boiling the potatoes, which made mashing a large batch much more comfortable than I expected. Cleanup was also surprisingly quick since the potato residue rinsed right off.

Mashed a whole pot of potatoes and the handle stayed cool the entire time, which honestly surprised me. The ridged head mashes quickly and cleans up in seconds, so this has already earned a permanent spot in my drawer.

This thing is built like a tank, the ridge pattern on the base actually gets every last lump out of the potatoes. I've used it every night this week for pureeing soups and it still looks brand new after a run through the dishwasher.
