우든 트리벳

The wood feels solid and heavy enough that it doesn't slide around when I set a hot cast iron pan on it. I've used it daily for a couple weeks now and there's no scorching or wobble, which is more than I can say for the flimsy one it replaced.

I was skeptical about spending this much on a trivet, but the wood grain is beautifully finished and it handles hot pots straight from the stove without any scorch marks. Even the underside stays cool enough to protect my wooden countertop.

The hook is small enough to slide into a drawer between uses, which is a relief in my cramped kitchen. I’ve already rested a hot Dutch oven on it and there’s not a single mark on the finish after cooling down.
