The pressure valve on this pot locks in place so securely that I feel much safer than with my old pressure cooker. It also heats up evenly and the base keeps it stable on the stove. I've already used it for soups and stews, and the results are consistently perfect.

The pressure valve engages with a satisfying hiss and the lid seals tight every time, which is exactly what you want from a cooker. It takes up a fair amount of cabinet space with the base attached, but that's a small trade-off for how evenly it heats on my induction hob.
